With Love, Your Body
"With Love, Your Body"
Three women, three bodies, one voice. This 60-second film takes us on an intimate journey through the relationships women have with their bodies — from moments of pain to triumph, caresses to discomfort, and the ever-changing nature of our physical selves. As their stories unfold, we realize the voice narrating is not theirs but belongs to the body itself. The body speaks as an observer, a healer, a witness to life's pleasures and struggles. This is a love letter from the body to its owner — a reminder of the shared, yet deeply personal experiences etched into our skin.
Many girls and women across the country face the pressure of unrealistic body standards. Starvation diets, body shaming, and the dizziness of sucking in their stomachs have become the norm. We chase the illusion of the perfect body, and in the process, we lose touch with what we were born with.
"With Love, Your Body" is a heartfelt tribute to embracing the imperfect, the very things that make us who we are, and a reminder to take care of the body that carries us through life.

Pernille Lund, an award-winning film director from a small town in Jutland, Denmark, embodies a spirit driven by creativity and curiosity. She honed her craft at the European Film College before exploring Berlin, Paris, and New Zealand, where she contributed to international productions, shaping her into the visionary filmmaker she is today.
Having graduated from Super8 in Aarhus in 2021, Pernille's exceptional work led to the creation of a Netflix pilot after winning 'Netflix Series School'. Alongside her studies, she crafted captivating short films that showcased her talent and unique perspective. It was here that "With Love, Your Body" was created. Drawing from her experience with short films, Pernille is now working on her debut feature film.
Pernille is drawn to deeply personal and intriguing stories that confront our status quo and push against conventional norms. Her films are imbued with love and nuance, setting a new standard for how we confront significant human challenges in the most poetic and compelling way. She is represented by the talent agency FERN film and has experience with creative agencies such as AKQA, Uncle Grey, and The Unicorn.
With Love, Your Body is a deeply personal exploration of the complex and often tumultuous relationship women have with their bodies. Through one voice, the body talking, we delve into the spectrum of emotions that accompany living in a physical form — from joy and pride to pain and discomfort, from self-acceptance to self-criticism. The film is not just about bodies; it is about the stories they carry, the experiences they endure, and the way they shape our sense of self.
As a director, I wanted to shift the narrative from being about the external pressures women face — unrealistic beauty standards, body shaming, the pressure to conform — and instead focus on the internal dialogue. The body speaks as an entity in its own right, a witness to the lives we live and the emotions we sometimes cannot express with words. This is not just a film about appearance, but about the intimate connection between body and soul, the bond that often goes unnoticed or unappreciated.
The voice of the body is a silent observer, but also a loving reminder of everything it has carried us through — the struggles, the triumphs, the growth. The message of this film is simple yet profound: our bodies are not something to be ashamed of, but something to cherish and honor. In a world that constantly pushes us toward a fabricated ideal, With Love, Your Body is a love letter to the imperfect, the real, and the deeply personal.
In making this film, I hope to encourage every woman to pause and reconnect with her body, to remember the power and resilience that lie within, and to love the skin she’s in, no matter the shape or size.
