Director Statement

This film was a tremendously rewarding experience. Not only did I grow as a filmmaker but I also learned a lot as a person. The idea for this project all came about because my collaborator Conor Shillen & I felt compelled to make a short film. We needed a return to form of a medium we hadn't dabbled in since College.

We decided on the genre of horror because we felt like it would give us a great opportunity to test our metal in suspense. We were fortunate enough to have an ensemble of incredibly trained actors that were able to bring our story to life.

While production mostly ran without a hitch, there were some hiccups that nearly jeopardized our entire operation. A few crew members dropped out at the last minute and the lift gate on our production truck broke and pushed our schedule back by several hours on day one. We felt cursed.

Fortunately, this was an entirely self-funded production. No one asked for this movie, yet Conor & I felt obligated to make it -- do or die.
In the end we persevered and were able to problem solve like madmen. I am immensely proud of this project and am looking forward to sharing it with the world!
