Writer Biography - Carlos Rivera Fernandez

Carlos Rivera Fernandez is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and anthropologist. He received his MA in visual anthropology from the University of Manchester in December 2023 and his BS in anthropology from Florida State University in April 2021. He has done film and ethnographic work in the Caribbean, throughout the Mediterranean basin, and in the Southern Caucasus. His films include "i'm leaving this place" (2024), "El taller de Naldi" (2023), and the multi-award winning short "The Only Good Thing" (2021). Carlos is currently based in New York City.
