Billie Witasik(they/them) is an animation student at College of Dupage. In their first animation class, a small assignment introduced them to an immense love for stop motion animation. Since then, they have studied many methods of animation, with a special focus on puppet fabrication and set design for stop motion films. Billie is most inspired by the work of Laika Studios and dreams of contributing to the tiny worlds inside their future films.
I developed the main character of my story, November the opossum, during my first semester as an animation student. They have grown along with me throughout my education, and I’m proud of how silly and strange we’ve both become. I made this story because I’ve come to believe that life is better when we accept the absurdity that it presents us. After watching my film, I hope that my audiences will open their windows and sing for no reason.
