Wingspan was a true collaboration. I first discovered Joshua’s incredibly powerful photography as we collaborated on projects for Think Tank Photo. As I got to know him and learned more about his infectious passion for conservation photography, it lit a creative spark in me. I saw an opportunity to tell another side of Joshua's story, one that explored the vital role conservation photography plays in documenting this incredible planet and amplifying the dire challenges we all face with a drastically changing climate. The story of the California Condor is one of hope and determination, as human beings took dramatic action to save a species from extinction. My hope with Wingspan is that a similar spark will be ignited in people who see it and that the story of the California Condor will inspire us as we work to save ourselves and our planet.
