Wings

What does it mean to feel at home? What does it mean to leave (your) home behind or forcibly fleeing it, maybe in search of a new place to live?
“Wings” reflects on the meaning of “home”, on the desire to go back home, on the stolen freedom, and on the sense of constraint and claustrophobia that migrants often feel in their own “home” or when they are forced to leave, crossing the sea.
The sea becomes the only solution, the sea that separates and connects lands; the sea that gives solace and embraces the nostalgic gazes. The sea that can too often turn murderous.

Director Biography - Martina Mastroviti, Stefano Triggiani

Martina Mastroviti is a versatile performer. She works with some different theatre companies in addition to developing her own projects in the field of theater, circus and dance with a multidisciplinary approach,often exploiting the potential of the audiovisual.

Stefano Triggiani (1991) is a Bologna-based filmmaker and photographer.
He graduated from Bologna University attending the DAMS course and in 2019 he attended the advanced training course in static and moving digital photography at Cineteca di Bologna, at the end of which he made the short documentary “Insieme” which was selected at Visioni Italiane 2020 festival – Visioni Doc section.
Since 2020 he has been steadily collaborating with Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione.
