Wilma Wallaby - Genius Girl Detective
As a modern-day Enola Holmes, Wilma Wallaby is a kick-ass 13-year-old detective who thinks her bully of an older brother is always trying to murder her but sets that conflict aside as she solves unusual cases each week in alligator and hurricane-saturated Florida.
Based on the highly-rated YA book series by the series creator and screenwriter.
The first season is about the concept that evil often triumphs over good and that Wilma often does the right things for all the wrong reasons. It is the start of Wilma’s detective career and how she joins forces with Jessica to take bigger cases.
In the second season, Wilma begins to see Ryan as more than a wealthy sidekick who can buy his way out of almost any situation - other than the attraction he has for Wilma. As they start their second year of high school, sometimes Wilma’s career gets in the way of the social life Ryan wants.
During the third season, Wilma has choices to make. Her parents get an offer to move their business to Europe, and now that Winston is almost out on is own, does she abandon her growing detective business and take a new adventure, or make a deal with the devil and move in with Winston? Wait! Is there a third option?

Sandra Jerome (Sandi) is a screenwriter and novelist who graduated from UCLA’s Advanced Screenwriting program. Her screenplay, Runaway Cricket, is being produced as an animated musical by BlackOrb Studios. Two of her scripts, Last Hand and First Man, were Quarterfinalists in Nicholl’s Fellowship. Sandi is an enrolled and blood member of the Cherokee Nation and winner of the 2023 Native American Media Alliance Fellowship.
Sandi is an avid women’s soccer fan. Her latest comedy, Technically Soccer (Formally—Aim Me, Coach), involves AI and women's professional soccer. She has coached, played, and refereed soccer for over twenty years.
She grew up on an avocado farm in Escondido and was the "go to" kid to climb up high and pick the top fruit. She would then jump down into the thick pile of leaves and thought she could fly! She created Kira and Henry - where the teen princess has to hide the secret that she can fly or be banished from the kingdom. It was a 2nd Rounder in 2023 Austin Film Festival where she pitched live and survived!
Sandi loves designing edible gardens and doing botany experiments. Her early fascination with science and the nearby San Onofre Nuclear Generating station inspired her to write a female-lead action script, Use of Deadly Force. Her husband was a technical writer in the nuclear industry and ensured its authenticity.
She is a native Californian, born in Santa Ana. She belonged to a Science and Technology group and helped develop a volunteer Web on Wheels program that brought email to residents of assisted living centers. This inspired her body-switching comedy – Time for Lily, which was a First-Round Finalist in Script Magazine Open Door Contest.
As a former computer programmer, she has been granted two patents for software design and recently sold her software company. She wrote a script, Last Woman, that involves the multi-universe and technology gone awry. Sandi was the first editor of Digital Dealer and wrote computer software reviews for major publications and numerous published computer guides.
Sandi is a long-time Disney fan, annual passholder and certified Disney expert. She wrote Pixie Dust Death as a young adult novel set at the Magic Kingdom and Grand Floridian. Pixie Dust Death is part of Sandi's Wilma Wallaby Genius Girl Detective Series that is being developed into a kid's series by a production company in the UK. Her young adult novel, Sleep Warrior, about her actual Cherokee ancestor, is on Coverfly’s Red List.
Sandi's family is part of the Wolf Clan of the Cherokee tribe, and she has written two screenplays with wolves. NOT werewolves - these wolves are real. Blood Moon Wolf teen fantasy about a wolf turning into the girl (spirit guide), and Nature's Way is a faith-based movie (where you often don't see wolves and rom-coms.)
I write both a novelist and a screenwriter. I like to write thrillers, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. I'm very techy - a former computer programmer, technical writer and software designer. During my Native American Fellowship, I set up a Google Drive for all the cohorts to upload their scripts and notes. My instructor said that if we were in a writer's room - he'd get me a raise for all the technical help I give with files and Zoom. I love to be helpful. In a writer's room, I'd probably be the only one who could teach a yoga class, do your taxes, fix your computer, and coach your soccer team - but I love to write, and I'm fast! I have 20 projects on Coverfly, 14 with Accolades and 3 on the Red List.
