The 6th annual Cinema Sisters International Film Festival (CSIFF) is coming March 11-13, 2022! We continue with our tradition of showcasing the works of female filmmakers all over the world in an effort to encourage and support our sister filmmakers. We encourage filmmakers who identify as a woman and gender-fluid/non-binary folks who identify with womanhood to submit their films!

We are asking our sister filmmakers to share their short films – narratives, docs, experimental, animation, any genre – we want to see it all! Join us as we celebrate the power of female filmmakers!! This three-day, laid-back festival is all about films made by women (including persons identifying as women).

Films must be complete, no longer than thirty-nine minutes, and must be directed or written by women.

Cinema Sisters is dedicated to cultivating a diverse environment where women can realize their artistic cinematic visions. While less than 10% of all films are made by women, by empowering each other through educational opportunities, mentoring, and a supportive creative community, CSIFF aims to galvanize and expand women's contribution to filmmaking.

Proceeds from our event go to grants for local filmmakers or filmmakers shooting their films in North Carolina. See csiffilm.com for more details about our grant program.

STAY TUNED! More detail on prizes is coming!

All across the board amazing. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated like family. This was my second time attending CSIFF and I hope to return again because that's how awesome this festival truly is.

I was able to attend this festival in person and the team at Cinema Sisters International FF put together such an incredible run of films from all over the world. Gracious and clear communication. Offered opportunities for filmmakers to connect. It's a small but mighty festival –– I think it is worthy of the visit for female filmmakers.
