Wilding
The isolated Sudeten borderlands are slowly depopulating. Lack of work and declining living standards force the younger generation to leave in search of a better life. Nature is slowly taking back the landscape and a long-exiled predator wolf is returning to the local forests, attacking defenceless sheep from local farms. The father of the family and his children have to deal not only with their uncertain future on the farm, but also with an erratic mother nature.

Student Project:Yes - Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic
He was born and grew up in the Broumov region, Czech Republic. He is currently studying for a Master's degree at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic in Directing and Screenwriting. He also completed a six-month Erasmus study programme in Hungary at the SZFE Film and Theatre School.
For me, as a native of Sudetenland who, like most of my peers, decided to leave the border region, Wilding is a very personal film through which I give the viewer an insight into the minds of today's young generation of migrants. As banal as it may sound, the film was for me a punctuation mark on a chapter of my life in the Broumov region, Czech Republic, where the film is set.
