WIDOW'S POINT
An author desperate for a hit spends a weekend locked in a haunted lighthouse as a publicity stunt for his new book and comes face to face with cosmic horror. Starring Craig Sheffer, based on the book by RIchard Chizmar and Billy Chizmar, written and directed by Gregory Lamberson.
"Gamy and go-for-broke, shuffling time with memory, and never less than beautifully self-aware. Greg Lamberson’s WIDOW’S POINT offers what is very nearly a solo showcase to Craig Scheffer, who responds with bellows and rants, mutters and whispers, and otherwise by strutting his stuff through this lively horror cut-up."

WIDOW'S POINT is the eighth feature directed by Gregory Lamberson, whose other films include the cult classic SLIME CITY, the killer boobs comedy KILLER RACK, and the teen horror flick JOHNNY GRUESOME. Lamberson is the award-winning author of 15 published books, including 11 novels, 2 novellas, and the filmmaking book CHEAP SCARES: LOW BUDGET HORROR FILMMAKERS SHARE THEIR SECRETS. Seven of his books are currently in development as potential TV series. He is one of the founders of Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. FANGORIA called him "the busiest man in horror."
Lamberson recently received Shawna Shea Memorial Film Festival's William Gerrity Award, named after William C. Gerrity, the Hollywood legend who worked in various capacities on such films as A FACE IN THE CROWD, KLUTE, THE FRENCH CONNECTION, HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS, and SOPHIE'S CHOICE.
I'm very proud of WIDOW'S POINT, my first stab at "straight horror" without campy comedy, Craig Sheffer gives a tour de force performance, and my daughter Kaelin is pretty amazing in it too. Vocals in the score were performed by Mary Ramsey of 10,000 Maniacs.
Please note that the submission screener on FF has been updated from the one we originally uploaded. After two successful screenings, I tinkered with the film slightly, editing two minute out for a tight 88 minutes. I also moved a flashback set on a 1987 movie set from the opening of the film to 6 minutes later, so we begin with Craig Sheffer's arrival at the central location; this is how the script was written.
Also, please note this wonderful review we received from The Gratuitous B-Movie Column/411mania.com: https://411mania.com/movies/the-gratuitous-b-movie-column-widows-point/ Should you select our film, you may want to use this review for promotional purposes.
