Who owns the world? (Wem gehört die Welt?)
Sara Manana has a garden plot in Brandenburg, a rural region near Berlin. Her neighbor and friend Heidi likes beer and German card games. The other neighbors are disturbed by Sara Mananas Caucasian habit to have her tea with jam. However, Heidi picked up this custom. Sometimes, Sara Manana in turn has a beer with her. On top of that, they sometimes borrough clothes from one another... This habit confuses the students from the nearby university. They say that one only gets to live one's own culture. However, there are lots of items simultaneously deriving from a multitude of cultures or having been passed from one culture to another one such a long time ago that it get's difficult to tell which culture they belong to. Moreover, some culture's inventions enhance other culture's inventions - many great things have been invented e.g. within fusion cuisine...
Sara Manana and Heidi come to the conclusion: Respectful exchange enriches everyone involved, whereas isolation and segregation don't.

"The Darlings of Cancel Culture" consist of DJ Koshka (http://djkoshka.bandcamp.com) and humble me, Notorische Ruhestoerung (http://ruhestoerung.noblogs.org). Although the two of us are from two different continents and the project was only founded in 2023, we have been knowing each other for about 10 years. You can find our music on the portfolio on our bandcamp. "Wem gehört die Welt?", produced in 2024 in Berlin, Germany, is the first short film resulting of our cooperation. As the name of our project indicates, we have both been suffering from abuse of anti-discriminatory structures and concepts. However, this could not shake our multi-cultural, inclusive beliefs. We firmly believe in internationally mixed, non-hierarchical structures, DIY and respectful, sustainable exchange.
WE HAVE SUBTITLES IN ITALIAN, PORTUGUESE & RUSSIAN. THE PAGE WON'T LET US UPLOAD MORE, PLEASE REQUEST THEM VIA MESSAGE!
"Wem gehört die Welt?" represents the story of our lifes as we have been enjoying exchange with each other and third parties from various backgrounds for a very long time being critizised for it from both political allies as well as opponents. Nevertheless, people in our surroundings have been profiting from translation and language exchanges, (multi-)cultural events, shared receipes and much more of the things we have invested time in within our active years - which is what will make us continue in the future!
