Director Biography - Maria Pimentel

Maria Pimentel is a filmmaker originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is 26 years old and just got her master's degree at Loyola University Chicago in Digital Media and Storytelling with an emphasis in documentary production.
Maria's work focuses on sharing diverse stories that have a human touch. From following a musician through the city of Chicago to telling the story of a Hispanic theater, Maria's wish is to show that we all have a story to tell.

Who Will Take Care of Me? is a project that means a considerable amount of things to me. Not only is it the culmination of my academic career, but it is also the end of a 5 month journey in which I got to meet and share many things with my cast.
Without them, this documentary and story couldn't have been told.
