Where to Hide

The longline is “a corrupt family has no where to hide”. The story is told through the eyes of Zhang Yonggui, the son of a corrupt official, who is studying abroad. After his father and mother are arrested for corruption and bribery, which spread all over China, even overseas Chinese circle know this news, and turned him into a mouse that everyone shouted to beat across the street. The people who gives him financial support also disappeared at the same time. He goes to ask a Chinese restaurant boss, and his professor for help. None of them help him for different reasons. His friends, the girl he likes, and his roommate all avoid him. His landlord turns him out. He is filled with confusion and despair. He knows he has no where to hide, except to go back to China until he receive the phone call from Dongfang city procuratorate requests him to return to China immediately and cooperate with them in their investigation.
