ANA CRISTINA PRIETO GRACIA is founder and CEO of Anafilms Productions. With a restless attitude, she involves in her profession the love she professes to cinema and media content creation, a sector in which she has more than 20 years of experience: dedicated to the optimization and coordination of multidisciplinary teams; the creation and production of digital platforms; technical direction; and the creation of audiovisual content for different television, film and advertising channels. Ana is demanding and results-oriented, at the highest level.
I began to develop the documentary film 'Where the wind takes me' almost four years ago as a response to my own experience as a woman and professional, and with the need to make visible that there is still a lot of work to do to break the stereotypes that still exist in society. The fact is that, as a professional woman, when you start any project, you are first judged as a woman -by your physical appearance- and then as a professional; and this is what I wanted to capture with my 4 stories of women with very different professions.
My restless and searching point of view, always accompanied by my love for cinema, led me to direct and produce this documentary, a feature film that shows a deep reflection on the role of women in society, on the dynamics and issues faced by each of the women protagonists of this story and all the barriers they had to break down to achieve their dreams.
For me, to present this documentary is to do my bit to contribute to gender equality, a fundamental right and one of the essential foundations for building a more prosperous, sustainable and peaceful world. We must all work for the abolition of discriminatory laws and social norms that continue to be widespread and do not grant us the role we should occupy in society.
