Paige Sciarrino is an actor, writer, and producer in New Jersey. This is her first time fully directing on her own. She looks to create work that centers around complex female leads, usually with New Jersey as the backdrop.
"Like Mary, I also suffered third degree burns that left scars on my face, neck, and hands. I created this film as a way to try to create something beautiful and cathartic for myself out of something that was so traumatic for me. My hope is that people watch this and leave knowing that self love/acceptance is an ongoing journey - that your looks aren't what define you - that your worth is really determined by how you see yourself. I want this film to feel like the beginning of healing. It's always a process, but starting is usually the toughest part.
