Director Biography - Juan G. Rodriguez

He was born in July 1989. He attended San José school in Moreno, Buenos Aires. In parallel, he took private lessons in English, over 10 years. In 2008, he graduated from school, with the title of Humanities and Social Sciences. In 2010, he entered the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism, to begin the Image and Sound Design career. After 2 years, he decided to continue his studies at the National University of the Arts (U.N.A), developing in the degree in Audiovisual Arts with guidance in Script and Direction.
Currently, he continues to implement his audiovisual knowledge both inside and outside the faculty. He has filmed 17 short films, some of them participated in different festivals such as the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre (Bars), 1000 Gritos or Fenacies (Uruguay). He wrote three horror films, won two awards with his short film "Scars" (2017) in the categories: BEST UNIVERSITY STUDENT DIRECTOR and BEST UNIVERSITY STUDENT ACTRESS, within the framework of BROWN ALMIRANTE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL (FICAB 2018) and continues to appear in different both national and international festivals.
