Director Biography - Zr Saimun

Zr Saimun’ passion for unique moving images led him to invent a stop-motion animation technique known as Strata Cut, which became a key element in his thesis project, a short film called “When it arrived.” The shot is based on six years of extensive environmental research in which Briggs spoke with renowned authorities, attended dozens of conferences, and examined hundreds of books and thousands of articles. It was shot in nine countries over the previous three years. Anyone who follows Zr saimun's work knows that they're constantly venturing into the uncharted territories of animation terrain, taming some new technique, pulling it back to civilization, and making it dance for the masses," said Steven Price, executive editor of Stash Magazine.

All filmmakers believe that their work will speak for itself in the end, which is why I didn't consider to make a statement at initially. However, after reading your blog, I have to say that I completely agree. In this scenario, a director's statement is probably required to prepare judges and audiences about the type of film that this is and how to approach it. I've already started on one.
