Director Biography - Palina - Sakava

My name is Palina Sakava. I am from a small country in Europe called Belarus. I am currently a third-year student majoring in Cinema and Television at an International school in China. I wrote several short scripts during my second year of study, but my first directing opportunity arose only in my third year. My debut movie, titled "When a Waxwing Sings," was written and directed by me.

Director Statement

The main idea of the film was to show the weakness and helplessness of the main character, who probably does not see her life without love any further.

Probably, for some, her emotions and decision will seem exaggerated. however, one cannot fully comprehend the experiences of another until one has walked in their shoes.
