When Light Goes

For me life is very beautiful, painful, doubtful and absurd sometimes. It is a combination of different colours where we face many kinds of emotions and situations. Life is hence changing at every moment whether by our own will or by the law of nature.
For me cinema is everything. It is my deep passion and the meaning of my survival. i feel so thankful to everything that i am here as a filmmaker in this planet from which i can create my own world and vision through the medium of cinema. i love to show my perspective through cinema because the canvas of cinema is boarder than any other art form.
" When Light Goes" is slow cinema based on a true story of a husband and wife of my home town chakraghatti, which is in the bank of saptakoshi river. The characters seen in the film are the real characters, the settings are also real. There is almost everything real and organic in this film. Nothing big has been made changed before or while shooting. i've known the main characters personally since my childhood because we are from same locality. One day when i was talking with them, the main character SHIV NARAYAN MANDAL told me his painful story about their sons who abandoned and went away from them. i felt so sad by hearing his painful reality. So i decided to make film of their own story. Hence the jorney of "When Light Goes" started from there.
