Director Biography - Aidan McGinnis

My name is Aidan McGinnis and I am a senior at Western Carolina University studying Film and Television Production. I have a served in various roles throughout my time at Western including, Director, DP, Producer, and Editor.. and sometimes all in one.

While at Western, I have had the opportunity to work with WCU athletics and become a videographer for the football program. With my passion for sports and filmmaking, I hope to combine those two worlds and create something impactful.

Director Statement

"Whee, The Cats" is my senior thesis project following the WCU football team through the entirety of the 2023 season. This is something I have wanted to create since I began working with WCU athletics. You don't see a lot of FCS school have coverage quite like this, so I wanted to bring it to Western.. and what a year to do it!
