Director Statement

Horror has always been my favorite genre. From sneaking movies late at night with my siblings to the moment I was finally allowed to watch one in theaters, horror has always had a lasting impact on me. With great worlds, characters, and monsters, the genre has always seemed limitless with its creativity. It seems that every few years we get to see a new voice and innovation within the genre whether it's through a more comedic or psychological lens. How our fears are brought about to the big screen is surreal. What we are doing with "What's the Deal with Jerry?" is trying to create a new fear from something that's always been deemed wholesome and comfortable. The feeling of dread when your life unexpectedly changes. Maybe you found out information you shouldn't know. Maybe someone you trusted showed their true colors. Maybe you put yourself in a situation you didn't know you couldn't win.
