Sam Oddie is a Manchester based filmmaker. His last film D'vina, debuted at HOME Cinema's Filmed Up Programme, then went on to screen at 5 film festivals. Including the Cardiff International Film Festival and was nominated for best Documentary. He is a Young Talent for Arts Emergency, producing and presenting the ''Getting Started Podcast;; with guests including James Moran and Cassie Bradley. Most recently, What's on the Other Side? was included in their Breakthroughs Campaign. Being presented infront of the Museum of London.
I wanted to make a film that really showed how finding new experiences could make life more interesting. And to make a documentary that invokes creativity and art over statistics, factual storytelling we're used to seeing. I think this gives the film an overall flare
