Emma Gun is from Ashland, MA and has a degree in film and economics from Wesleyan University (2020-2024). Two years ago, she started a project called "All the Movies Ever" where she attempts to watch and blog about every single movie. She loves to collect earrings, watch time loop movies, and perform standup comedy.
I wrote and directed "Whatever It Takes" my final year at Wesleyan University. It was inspired by my ex-boyfriend breaking up with me for the fifth (and final) time. I wanted to tell a story that creatively portrayed the obsession and toxic cyclical nature of unhealthy relationships, and add in a pinch of feminism.
It was an incredible project to close out my senior year, and I did it surrounded by my best friends. Filming the same scene over and over again is a lot more fun than it might seem. I hope you enjoy the film and that it resonates with you, makes you laugh, or all of the above!
