What Is Left Of Us
The night before finals, Deborah Wallace hosts the habitual get-together with her tight college friend group. With the chaos of the closing months of their college career (leaving them a distant semester), this night is aimed to be a last supper before they graduate to catch up. As the fun of the night settles, Sena reveals her engagement to her long time boyfriend. This reveal pulls a loose thread, as the remainder of the friend group begins to discuss their post grad plans that nowhere close to home (as Deb thought).

Victoria Wilcox is a student filmmaker and freelance photographer in Philadelphia. Victoria is in her junior year within the Narrative Directing BFA program at Temple University. Over the years, she has curated a love for capturing moments in time and cultivating empathy within audiences, which has led her to the realm of narrative storytelling.
As one of Blackness, and the only Black woman in my cohort, there is a pressure on the mic in front of me. I am not a proponent of Black struggle in entertainment. I believe the Black trailblazers in film have cultivated a beautiful and notable discography that holds light to the historical Black struggle. I am truly grateful for their work as it has opened doors, and allowed Black filmmakers on the horizon to choose the trajectory of our story, without obligation. Racism has not been erased, however we have evolved to the point where it does not need to be present in our representation, in order for us to feel seen. Many argue that a Black story without the recognition of oppression, lacks a message. However, I argue that a story with an Black person simply being, and going through a universal experience is the message.
