Director Statement

This film was greatly inspired by some of my fondest childhood memories of visiting Wilsons' Promontory with my dad. It is a magnificent place, going there feels like coming home. There is one minor drawback, the wombats there search for "people food". My dad always told me the one golden rule when camping in southeastern Australia "No food in the tent!" While it's not funny to have a real wombat rip your tent open, it is hilarious on screen, so I kind of took the idea from there and the film was born.
