Wendie Webfest Hamburg as the 2nd Webfest in Germany honors the strong brand of being a Webfest while having its own features and focus. The festival celebrates the independent series culture and DIY ethos of filmmakers. Wendie appreciates a passionately created lovechild more than silky perfect products that are made to sell: Go for clever storytelling and an original setting and you will take the hanseatic Webfest's heart by storm! Exchange and networking between filmmakers and audience as well as creators among themselves is an elementary part of this years edition.

Das Wendie Webfest Hamburg als 2. Webfest Deutschlands feiert sowohl die nationale als auch internationale Web/Indieserienszene, möchte diese würdig präsentieren und zum Dialog anregen. Besonders viel Wert legt das Wendie dabei auf Do-It-Yourself-Ethos der Filmemacher: Ausgefuchstes Storytelling geht über reich geförderte Weltraumschlachten, Beulen in der Präsentation über ein aalglatt stromlinienförmiges Produkt. Dieses Festival sucht Kinder der Leidenschaft und nicht mit wirtschaftlichem Kalkül produzierte Piloten.

Es sollen Kreateure und Publikum in Dialog treten, die Filmemacher sich untereinander austauschen und das Netzwerken nicht zu kurz kommen - zum Beispiel bei einem Kaltgetränk an der Südelbe, sofern es das milde September-Wetter in Hamburg hergibt.

Rules & Terms

Only the following entries will be considered:

- Trailers are not allowed.
- At LEAST two (2) episodes must be already produced (except for the Newcomer-Category).
- Every entry (if not in english language) must have an english subtitle
- Submissions are accepted through FilmFreeway only.
- Entry fees are non-refundable.
- Applicant can submit more than one series to the festival.
- Each submission requires an entry fee.
- Content submitter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Submissions must be the intellectual property of the submitter, and/or their team. No proxy submissions.
-Your entry episode (or your cut of the project you want to present) shouldn't exceed the 20 minute mark.
-By submitting you confirm that you hold the rights to (or are authorized to use) any and all audio and video in your web series.
- All decisions made by Wendie Webfest Hamburg are final.
- All federal and state laws apply.
- By participating at Wendie Webfest Hamburg, each participant agrees to hold the festival and its employees, directors and representatives harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind.
