Director Biography - Jonathan L Eagle

Though I've always been interested in film and film theory, I didn't become interested in creating films or even consider it an option until well into my adult life. As a non-conventional student, I came back to school at 39 to study film and TV. Now in my third year, I have an extensive reel now and I am in the post-production stage of my junior thesis project, Wendell, a film I wrote in 2019 about a introverted school custodian who struggles and ultimately succumbs to a dark compulsion.

Director Statement

This production focuses on good vs. evil themes. It contrasts faith and optimism against human nature's darker impulses. I believe that although the world is filled with beauty and love, there is also darkness there that is difficult to resist. My aim is for Wendell to explore these dark impulses under the auspices of religion and faith.
