My name is Umberto Junior Vivaldi, I’m 29 and I was born in Leghorn. Since I was a teenager I had a passion for cinema, but I always had to do other jobs for necessity.
My different work experiences pushed me, from a young age, to write and direct short films with a focus on social themes. In 2011 I attended a film course, directed by the master Amasi Damiani; in 2017, after the end of my work contract in an administrative office, I decided to move to Rome to undertake the path of cinema (full time). I currently study cinematography at Sapienza University of Rome.
My last self-produced short film is “Vestiti ammodino”. It tells the story of a young graduate boy who fails to realize his simple and insignificant life. Through this short film I am trying to narrate the cross section of a lost generation: that is mine.
