Welcome To Pruitville - The Following

Lake, a single mother, and her daughter Tiffany, are trying to maintain some facade of normalcy since the arrest and conviction of Lake's ex-husband for unspeakable crimes. But it becomes more and more difficult when unexplainable events occur to Tiffany after the death of Lake's ex-husband in prison. A disturbing event one night finally chases them from their home to take refuge at Lake's mother's house some 18 hours away. En route, Lake happens upon a shortcut that saves hours of driving. Rushing to get to a safe place, they find a small town that doesn't seem like it should be there. It's not on the map, but they are hungry and need to stop. Looking for a place to eat, they find the town diner and meet Thaddeus, one of the town's descendants. Unbeknownst to them, he derives the source of their problem and offers them a place to stay overnight. The next day, Lake learns more about her ex-husband, and the chilling reason they had to run from their house.
