My first step into cosmic horror led me to watch John Carpenter's The Thing. I was seven. I didn't sleep for weeks, but I was hooked. Shortly after, I traded my nerf gun for a camcorder and became "that kid that makes movies." And I never stopped. Visual storytelling is my passion and horror, specifically, cosmic horror is my genre of choice.
A Weeping in the Woods is a dramatic horror in the tradition of "Dracula" and "The Wicker Man." The story is revealed through exploration at a fast pace - granting little opportunity to catch your breath. Before you know it, fates are sealed. The story is gritty but quiet. No jump scares, but rather a deep bellow of unsettling that builds and builds to a climax of macabre creatures and overwhelming outcomes.
