Inspired by the many challenges humanity is facing, this short film festival was started to empower those activated by the calls for change. The Freedom Film Fest seeks to amplify the work of short filmmakers creating media that point imaginations towards our better world. We intend to showcase films that help us consider our roles on the journey from "me culture" to the "WE culture" our future requires.

Rules & Terms

There is no entry fee.
[We] Freedom Film Fest is open to all genres, including documentary, drama, comedy, musicals, performances, and experimental films, as well as films that demonstrate a high regard for the moving image as an experimental art form. However, the event theme makes it less suitable for horror films.
Work previously submitted may not be re-entered into this film festival.
Films must run no longer than 39 minutes.
Entries not in English must have English subtitles.
Works in progress may be submitted, but are juried in the same pool as all other submissions.
Work must be contemporary (completed within the last three years).
All submissions must include a link for films to be viewed online.
All submissions must have all clearances and permissions.
