We Belong Here
A land dance that serves as a act of resilience by moving with the mountains and the surrounding land that was taken from the American Indigenous people. Many atrocities occurred in Abiquiu, NM (occupied Tewa Lands) and this dance is a connection to ancestors in order to heal and move on from the horrors of war that many had to face. This dance is dedicated to all my relatives and beyond. I consider this a ceremony, a blessing, and a symbol that we are powerful enough to change the energies of the spaces we inhabit. We can build a better future. We belong here.
