Wax Moons

Shot on a single Super 8 film cartridge, first take, with no editing and no post production. Wax Moons explores the idea of things taking shape, changing, and reemerging as new things, with all things being part of a similar process. Shot entirely in Oklahoma. A portion was shot at The Crucible in Norman and the rest in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge in southwest Oklahoma.

Director Biography - Aaron Gibson

Born and raised in Norman, OK. I enjoy writing stories and shooting short films. I prefer Super 8 film because of the authenticity, the color, and the adventure in having to make every shot count.
