Pagdiriwang ng Alon ng Pelikula (Wave of Films Festival) is an independent film festival created to give honor to the students of Film Production & Directing classes of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila), a public university comprised mostly of scholars from middle class to underprivileged families. The non-profit festival screens student films from around the world and includes them as a point of discussion in the students' classes to foster cultural diversity and understanding of worldwide perspectives.

All awards are handed out for those officially enrolled students of Film Production & Directing classes of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila). Citations may be given to guest films from around the world on a case to case basis.

Our Simple Rules & Regulations
1. We accept any student film from around the world with a running time of 15 minutes and under.
2. We love films that are engaging; those that have interesting narratives; and films that have fresh ideas.
3. Only narrative short films are accepted. We highly encouraged genre narrative films.
4. Films must have English subtitles.
5. The films shall be pre-selected by appointed Film Professors, Programmers and/or Filmmakers of the festival.
6. Guest films from around the world are considered non-competition entries but the festival may give citations on a case to case basis for outstanding films.
7. The films selected are screened to the students of Film Production & Directing classes of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila) for free to give them wider perspectives of cultures through the eyes of filmmaker-students enrolled in universities from around the world.
8. Once your film is selected, you cannot anymore withdraw. By submitting, you give our festival the right to screen your film within the duration of the term leading towards our film festival which is the culminating activity of our Film Production & Directing classes.
9. We don't require premiere status or any other provisions. Our goal is to share your work to our students.
10. As a non-profit student-based film festival, we do not require entry fees nor do we charge any fees for screening.
