Director Statement

Waveland Requiem came together as an elegy to the many moments of loss experienced since the outbreak of the pandemic; and went from concept, to script, to finished film in a span of six or seven months. The piece is entirely self-funded, and was only possible due to the donated efforts of the cast and crew.

It is in every sense, a first narrative effort, and my film school without a film school.

Perhaps it will remind audiences that in the midst of doubt and discontinuity, there is always a way to stay strong and move on.

Thank you for watching.
