Water Series

Water Series is a project created in 2020 by Michelangelo Ciminale and Daniele Quadraccia.
The images and music of the Water Series invite the viewer to dwell on what is happening on the water surface of two different lakes. The gaze focuses on a limited space, in an attempt to give a centrality to the movements that might otherwise stay into the background. This choice makes the images more abstract and brings them closer to some moving geometric patterns.
The visual geometries are accompanied by a music that follows their progress and wants to build a dialogue with the images, rather than acting as a simple caption.
The three videos have not been modified, except in very few cases, in order to give value to the micro changes that occur naturally, due to the effect of the wind and the light reflected on the water.

Singing Dunes is an artistic duo born in 2019 in Rome, formed by Daniele Quadraccia (photographer and anthropologist) and Michelangelo Ciminale (musician and anthropologist). Through the dialogue between images and music this duo tries to make the viewer dwell on those portions of reality to which we often do not pay too much attention. Water Series is their first project.
