Water Lily
To the oblivious eye, Lily has lived a seemingly happy and healthy life with her mother and father. Unfortunately, this idealized version of her family was never the one she experienced. Her father, Samuel, is an abusive drunk who tends to take out his problems and insecurities on Lily's mother, Alice. The abuse only grew more frequent and aggressive over time. This took a toll on Alice, as she became increasingly depressed, until eventually reaching her breaking point. Because no one knew what Alice had been experiencing at home, no one understood why she would take her own life, and Lily remained under the care of her father. Overtime she slowly began to take on the role that her mother left behind and became her fathers new target of abuse. That is, until Lily decides to take her future freedom and happiness into the hands of her own.
