Writer Statement

Water is a simple short story about the state of life and affairs of the people of Kashmir, India. Kashmir is the world's most heavily militarised place and the conflict between India and Pakistan for the land has been tense for over 7 decades. The story of the people of Kashmir needs to be told over and over until their human rights violations are addressed by the citizens of the world.
