Watchmaker

‘Watchmaker' was shot over a five day period on the Isle of Mull on the West Coast of Scotland. It is a film about the repetition and circles of the natural world. Each moving part existed long before we stepped foot onto the island and it will be here long after we are gone.

Director Biography - Adam Johnston

Adam is an Edinburgh based Scottish filmmaker with a passion for showing the world the way he sees it. His love of films started at age four when he was taken to a showing of Jurassic Park during its first cinema run. A documentary released later that same year showed the making of the film and that peek behind the curtain had him hooked right away.
It wasn't until his early 20s however that he would be able to turn his hand to practical filmmaking and he took on numerous crew rolls throughout several short film productions to better understand the process.
'Watchmaker' is Adam's first short film which was fully directed and shot by him over a 5 day period on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. It allowed him to explore his love of the nature and the rugged landscape of the Hebrides and tell a story of the cyclical rhythm that exists in the world around us.
