WatchVIM Selects: Indie Streaming Distribution Call is a filmmaker-focused submission opportunity for independent creators seeking streaming distribution consideration on WatchVIM.

WatchVIM is an independent streaming platform dedicated to bold, diverse, creator-owned stories, including narrative features, short films, documentaries, web series, LGBTQ+ stories, Black cinema, urban drama, thrillers, romance, comedy, and original episodic content.

This call is designed for filmmakers who are ready to move their projects from festival screenings, private links, and social media promotion into a real streaming platform environment. Selected projects may be considered for WatchVIM streaming placement, promotional support, filmmaker reporting, and potential revenue-share opportunities.

We are especially interested in projects with strong audience appeal, completed festival runs, niche community value, diverse voices, and filmmaker ownership.

Submitting through FilmFreeway does not guarantee distribution. All selected titles will go through a review process, rights confirmation, technical delivery review, and separate distribution agreement before being published on WatchVIM.

Streaming Platform Placement Consideration
Approved titles may be considered for placement on WatchVIM as part of the platform’s independent film, series, documentary, LGBTQ+, Black cinema, thriller, or drama collections.

Promotional Support
Accepted titles may receive trailer promotion, poster promotion, social media graphics, newsletter inclusion, and possible homepage or category feature placement.

Extended Distribution Consultation
Eligible filmmakers may be considered for additional distribution support or guidance for broader platform opportunities where available.

No cash prize is guaranteed. This submission opportunity is for review, selection, promotional recognition, and possible distribution consideration.

Rules & Terms

By submitting, the filmmaker confirms that they own or control the necessary rights to submit the project for distribution consideration.

Submitted projects must be completed or near completion. Rough cuts may be considered only if clearly labeled as such.

Projects may include feature films, short films, documentaries, web series, pilots, limited series, music-driven films, LGBTQ+ stories, Black cinema, urban dramas, thrillers, comedies, faith-based stories, and other independent content.

All projects must include a working screener link or FilmFreeway screener. Trailer links, posters, IMDb pages, festival history, and press materials are strongly encouraged.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance, streaming placement, payment, or distribution. WatchVIM reserves the right to accept, decline, or request additional materials for any submitted project.

If selected, the filmmaker may be required to provide delivery materials, including but not limited to: final master video file, trailer, poster artwork, horizontal hero artwork, title logo PNG, captions or subtitles when available, synopsis, cast list, director bio, rights information, music clearance confirmation, and any required legal materials.

No project will be published on WatchVIM without a separate written distribution agreement.

The filmmaker is responsible for ensuring that all music, footage, artwork, trademarks, performances, and third-party materials are properly cleared.

WatchVIM may contact selected filmmakers directly regarding distribution opportunities, promotional opportunities, technical delivery requirements, and next steps.
