General festival information: Filmfest DC presents over 100 feature premieres, restored classics, shorts and special events in creating an enjoyable and stimulating atmosphere for film lovers. Our programming both entertains and provokes. The festival’s audience of over 25,000 people from the area of the nation's Capital is widely diverse, curious and knowledgeable. Filmfest DC is a proven event and has developed into one of the city's major cultural activities. For general (non-JM or S) submissions open Nov 1, 2017 and the deadline is Jan 31, 2018.
