Director Biography - Mukesh Prakash Sharma

Mukesh Sharma: Born on 7th October,1970 in the city of Jodhpur (Rajasthan).

A graduate in Social- Anthropology from St .Xavier’s college, Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Bombay.

Followed by a Diploma in Film Production from the Xavier’s Institute of Communication and a Diploma in Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai .

Since 1997 working as Cameraman with Films Division and shot various documentaries.

Some of the documentaries directed by me:

‘Sathyu- A Bhopali Activist’ (2011) was nominated in the National competition section of Mumbai International Film Festival-2012.

‘Progressive Voyage’ (2015) documentary on the 25 years of Konkan Railway.

‘Nepathya’- This film portrays the silent effort and achievements of the cine technicians in the back drop of the glorious century old of Indian cinema.

Aru Jan Bholi (2018) Film on the Hindi as connection language between the tribal communities of Arunchal Pradesh. MIFF-2020 screened in the National Competition Section.

Wheeling the Ball:-This film won BEST EXPLORATION /ADVENTURE FILM (to include sports) Award in 68th National Film Awards, 2020. 17th Mumbai International Film Festival,2022- film screened in National competition.
