Wander

Chris and his mother gather groceries for their week's dinner at a Filipino wet market. While his mother is busy fussing over her list, Chris wanders off and encounters an array of fantastic worlds within the market. He gets so caught up that he misplaced his best friend, a toy robot named Ube. All this wonder is ripped away when a looming figure emerges from the shadows holding Ube hostage. Chris now must find a way to get his friend back and find his mother, all while evading this mysterious figure.

Director Biography - LeAnn Schmitt

LeAnn Schmitt is a second-generation Filipino American and the director of Wander. As the daughter of an air force senior master sergeant, she got to travel and see the world at a young age, something that has impacted her as an artist and a storyteller to this day. This film is a culmination of a lot of her own experiences as well as many things she hold very close to my heart.
