Wanda Nolan is a writer, director, and story consultant. Her writer/director credits include the newly released supernatural thriller Always Going and Never Gone, sponsored by the Telefilm NIFCO Picture Start program. In 2016, Wanda made her directorial debut with the short animation, Mystery of the Secret Room, produced by the National Film Board of Canada which was nominated for a Golden Egg Award at the Reykjavik International Film Festival and for Best Emerging Director and Best Animated Short at the Yorkton Film Festival. The same year she released Crocuses, winner of the RBC Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker Award and Best Short at the Nickel Film Independent Festival. Her feature screenplay The Magic of Boxer Connors was the winner of the Inspired Script Harold Greenburg Award. And, in 2017, her feature The Royals was selected for the FIN script development program. Wanda story consults for various independent projects and for the National Film Board of Canada. She also owns a production company, Haven Productions Inc, with Deanne Foley and Elisabeth de Mariaffi. They are developing several projects, including the TV series, Dead Knot. In 2014, she was named one of eleven writers to watch for by CBC Canada Writes. She has a Masters of Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.
