《Walk Out》 is going to be a comedy-drama film. We want to convey to the audience a positive attitude towards life and invite the audience to observe how the protagonist overcome the fear. I would like to set this film in a cozy and warm apartment area - with lighting and tone primarily inspired by Jack Tew “Me & You” short film. This area is equipped with furnitures (e.g. mirror, sofa and dinner table) and electrical appliances (e.g. television, robot vacuum cleaner and fan), and it will look as if Zhang has lived there for years. Walk Out will be warm in tone in most of the time. We will use warm lighting for the home scene, telling the audience that the protagonist's home is safe. The tone will switch to cold tone at some points such as the scene when Zhang walks out the door and loses her key. Apartment from ordinary shots like pan shot or static shot, we will use handheld shot to create a sense of nervousness when Zhang walks out the door; when Zhang is laying on the bed, we will put the camera on the top ceiling of Zhang's room, so we can observe how she reacts to Liu's message and interact with other stuff in the room. Elegant, brave, and positive are words that can describe the presence of Zhang. Therefore, we will choose colorful costumes for Zhang to enhance her personalities.
