IEONG Kin-pong creates images in different media. He is interested in both narrative and non-narrative films. Since 2014 umbrella revolution of HK, he made short films on the status of HK people. In 2019 he helped making documentaries of the people during anti-extradition bill movement. These experiences sparked him in making much films about people of HK in difficult times.
He keeps on fighting in Hong Kong.
This is a film inspired by a major event that happened in HK during the 2019 anti-extradition law movement. The event took place in a school campus, where protesters occupied it in order to block an important traffic tunnel of Hong Kong. The police eventually surrounded the campus, allowing no one to exit unless they surrendered. This film depicted the status of protesters inside the campus during the lockdown. The film goes from solid event to abstract situation, depicting the living and mental status of people under severe governance, political or non-political.
