Godwin Domingo is a graduating BA Communications student from the University of Santo Tomas. She sparked interest in producing audio-visual content when she started taking up Humanities and Social Sciences in UST-Senior High School. During her college years, she experienced working in different productions, under different directors, which made her inspired to make her visions possible as well. Domingo started directing Wala Nang Dumadaan sa Balete last May 2021 as a project for a course she was taking back in 3rd year college. Wala Nang Nagmamahal sa Balete is the second short film she has worked on as the director.
Wala Nang Nagmamahal sa Balete introduces us to the familiar world of mythical creatures that face the same circumstances we have as ordinary Filipinos. And even though we don't fully believe in the existence of such world and creatures, their sentiments and situation hopefully makes everyone aware that they are affected too. And seeing these characters being affected and taking action, what more when we, as real, living people, realize the power of our actions.
