Sean Franklin Boyd is a Producer, Director and Writer from Pasadena, CA.
Growing up in the culturally saturated Tri-State area of New Jersey, Boyd's work is greatly influenced by his surroundings and the influential films he watched as a young man. Crime dramas, Thrillers and mob drama series such as the Sopranos inspired Sean to write and eventually become a filmmaker with a new voice in the industry.
Having no formal education, training or connections Sean Boyd got his start in filmmaking while working for many years in the fast paced automotive industry. The unbelievable and surreal environment around him drove his inspiration to start writing small stories with writer and close friend John C Turco who he met when working at a dealership. As months progressed the two would continue to write more and more small scenes with big dreams in mind.
Possessing zero idea what it took to make a movie or shoot a scene, eventually Sean invested in a small DSLR camera system. Over the next 7 years Sean would get a hands on crash course in film making learning everything he could studying the creative, technical and business elements of just what it takes to not only make a film, but become a leader that can inspire others with a project idea.
Currently Boyd is set to release his second installment that he wrote, directed and produced entitled "Waiting For Deja".

Waiting for Deja in many ways was a personal expression of the dark world associated with drugs, addiction and the constant struggle to survive in the jungle of Los Angeles. This film both on and off screen was a duality of the worst things that could go wrong but also a lesson in so many things that could go unbelievably right. My team and I had the support and backing of friends and so many businesses looking for nothing in return. I am privileged enough to say I completed a 40 minute heart wrenching film with the unwavering support of many good people around me. We went into a very dark place to make gripping cinema and we crawled out with what may unsettle and move many,
