Director Statement

This project, being my first film, has taught me more than I have learned in my 6 years of film class. Although I have been into filmmaking since middle school, this project completely changed me. It was challenging, especially due to the fact that I am a teenager with limited funds; but I did it. Furthermore, the amazing people I met and worked with along the way made this project even more enjoyable. My biggest struggle was the fact that I did not have a team on this. I was the sole director, writer, producer, camera operator, and sound guy on this film. Aside from a little help from friends here and there, I found myself controlling 4 cameras and audio all at once in some shoots, but if you were to ask me if it was worth it, my answer would be a firm "Yes". Maybe it is because I have finally completed a film that was my own, or maybe it is the fact that I saw my hard work pay off and the experience of doing it was phenomenal. Be it one or the other, I am so incredibly proud of this film. -Daniel Beracha, 2017
