Welcome to the WRPN.TV Global Webisode Competition (WGWC), where Top Winners will have the opportunity to play their webisodes or TV series at our WRPN.tv Network.

The WGWC is an online venue for Webisode and TV Series only. We offer a unique opportunity to promote your Webisode or TV Series on WRPN.TV to a world-wide community of Webisode/TV Series fans from dozens of countries that filmmakers would not normally have access to. As the online 'virtual theater for WGWC, WRPN.TV boasts a large subscription base of viewers, and takes advantage of the popular wave of internet entertainment.

You also have access to Feedback: the one element that most film festivals ignore. Instead of paying submission fees and getting nothing in return, EVERYONE who submits to WGWC will receive one of these two benefits: EITHER 1): your film is already competition caliber, and becomes an Official Selection, OR 2): you will receive a letter upon request, outlining exactly what it is about your film that is keeping it from being accepted.

First time filmmakers: when have you ever gotten a letter back from a festival giving you the chance to fix something, then resubmit for FREE?

Giving you the chance to make corrections to your film does 3 things:
-It gives you the chance to improve your product and make it more marketable.
-It will enhance your chances of winning/being accepted AT OTHER FESTIVALS BESIDES OURS. That's more 'Official Selection' laurels for YOU.
-It will give you forethought for your NEXT filmmaking endeavor, helping you to improve your craft (feedback letters also list the GOOD elements in your film that you should make an effort to keep).

What Makes Us Unique:

1. WGWC's founders are registered Committee Member for the Universal Film and Festival Organization (UFFO.ORG), an international non-profit based in the U.K., founded to support/implement best business practices for film festivals
2. All Top Winners will have the optional opportunity to have their webisodes/series shown exclusively on WRPN.TV Network next to Hollywood celebrity interviews.
3. Any film that is rejected will receive a personal letter explaining what elements caused the rejection (unlike other fests who never give any explanation at all- we have already received 'thank you' letters from some of our rejected films, as no one has ever helped them before).
4. Students always receive a discount of $10 off the 2 major categories of Webisode, and TV series.

It is our goal to give filmmakers their money's worth, and the recognition that they deserve.

Awards & Prizes

We are implementing a new TOP Utmost winning category named "Best of Festival" and it will comprise just those productions that excelled from domestic and foreign for each category, if any.
Other Top Winners in the two Major Categories (Webisode Pilot/Episode, and Television Pilot/Episode) are as follows: "Best Of Show," "Award Of Outstanding Excellence," and "Award Of Excellence."
There are also three more award level opportunities: "Award Of Exceptional Merit," "Award Of Merit," and "Kudos Endeavor Award."
You will also notice that there are reduced-rate SUB-CATEGORY options, such as cinematography, original theme song, script, original concept, direction, special effects, research, lead actor/actress, best supporting actor/actress, etc. Entries in these sub-categories will also be eligible for the 6 award levels listed above. These are special sub-categories at a discounted rate, in which a specific, creative aspect of a film is considered. You, as a filmmaker, know your film better than anyone else, and you would therefore have knowledge of these particular aspects of your film that shine above the rest. By entering these reduced-rate sub-categories, you can point that out. Please do not feel obligated to enter sub-categories, as it will NOT affect your chances of winning ‘Best of Show,’ ‘Award of Excellence,’ or ‘Award Of Merit’ for the FILM ITSELF in the TWO MAJOR categories (Webisode Pilot/Episode, and Television Pilot/Episode). Submitting to these sub-categories - just as submitting to the two major categories - does not guarantee an award. We just want you to be able to take full advantage of all aspects of our competition, and give special attention to any sub-category/production value that you feel deserves it.
TOP award winners will be considered, by invitation and at our discretion, to screen their film at WRPN.tv sponsored LIVE Multi Festival Screening event 2021 at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and The Star Theater, Berkeley Springs, WV (Invitations based on local demographics and COVID-19 Status)

Rules & Terms

-Foreign language films (non-English) must have English subtitles.
-Webisodes/TV Series show can be the Pilot episode or any subsequent episode
-Must be LESS THAN 1 hour in length, but at least 5 minutes in length
-No waivers
-In order to ensure that each film is studied and rated on a individual basis, WGWC has instituted a system to ensure that entries do not compete against each other, but instead are recognized for their own individual merits. For all intents and purposes, they compete against themselves: each entry is judged on individual merits and scored on an inherent value system. We want to ensure that the judges focus is on you when it is your turn to be evaluated, not on all the other films that are in queue: this insures that they will not have comparisons going on in their minds when they should be focusing entirely on YOU.
-Judges score entries on a performance scale and winning entries are recognized and awarded not only for Best of Festival and Best Of Show, but also for two Awards of Excellence levels, two Awards of Merit levels, a Kudos Endeavor Award, or no award.
-Best of festival and Best of Show honors are granted to the top scoring entry/entries for each season; (Multiple Best of Festival and Best Of Show winners could be selected as per genre and whether domestic or foreign) Awards of Excellence are granted to entries with truly exceptional artistic and technical achievements; and Notable achievements are recognized at the Award of Merit and 'Kudos' award levels.
-The number of awards granted at any given level will fluctuate based on the total number of entries received for each competition deadline. Just as entering major categories does not insure selection or award, entering sub-categories also does not insure selection or award; Filmmakers who enter sub-categories only (without entering a major category) may be rejected if the judges do not feel the submitted sub-category is of merit, even if the film itself is of merit and could have been award-worthy. Conversely, films may also receive awards for sub-categories written in by the judges even if the filmmaker did not submit for them.
-Also, your film name will appear in the Official Selection list only if you have submitted the entire film into one of the 2 Major (full-price) Categories (films submitted for judging in reduced-rate, production value sub-categories only, will not be listed).
-The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening on pay-per-view if that option is selected, and shall therefore indemnify and hold harmless WGWC, WRPN.TV, and ROMAN PICTURES from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, or screening.
WGWC reserves the right to refuse entries.

We were so excited to submit to this festival because of the opportunities we knew it could possibly provide but we knew winning a top award, especially with no known actors, would be a long shot.
